Collimating Microlens Array

Collimating Microlens Array

The CMA offers very high collimation for backlights and displays that require:

  • Maximum optical efficiency
  • Minimal beam divergence
  • Initial beam widths of less than 50um

The CMA can be combined with numerous additional optical devices and products to create very flexible and powerful technologies. One example use for the CMA would be pairing an OLED backlight array with an LCD, with each backlight pixel collimated perfectly into the LCD pixel, resulting in a display that has no color lifetime issues but is also very power efficient and easy to manufacture.

Because of the highly proprietary nature of the Collimating Microlens Array’s unique lens geometry, further information can only be released after signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Please contact DigiDelve Technologies for information about obtaining an NDA.
